In the introduction to our Short Story Contest cover feature last week (WM “2008 Short Story Contest,” July 17), we mistakenly credited authorship of the Third Place winner, “Fat Girl,” to Anne Hill. The story was, in fact, written by Diana Clarke. Ms. Hill’s story, “Stephen Settles the Score,” was one of our Top 5 submissions. Our sincere apologies to both authors for the error.
