Just a note to tell you how much I enjoyed Nick Vorres’s article in Worcester Magazine (City Desk / “Crying over spilled oil,” June 19).

It was well-researched and written, and I look forward to others in the future.

Thanks for the laughs

On June 20, the Worcester Fire Fighters’ Memorial Committee sponsored an evening of comedy at Mechanics Hall. There were more than a thousand people in attendance. As treasurer of the Committee and coordinator of the event, I would like to publicly thank the staff of Mechanics Hall for their assistance and professionalism. All-Pro Productions, for a great line-up of comedians. And a special thanks to the residents and businesses of Worcester and the surrounding area for their tremendous support in making the evening such a great success. I hope you all enjoyed the show and I look forward to seeing [you] next year.
