• Heading to the Mediterranean: The Red Maple Inn in Spencer is offering its Cooking School, the next one called The Mediterranean Table on July 5, 19 and 26. Conducted by acclaimed chef Shari Alexander, she leads a fun and delicious education on food — an education that includes a wine tasting. These workshops are $98, which includes tax and services. • Biking food: Those who attend the legendary Longsjo Classic Bike Race are invited to come out to The First Congregational Church in Princeton (on Mountain Road) on Friday. All day, the church is serving up food. Starting at 7:30 a.m. on July 4, enjoy breakfast for $6. Later, the griddles close down and the grills fire up, as the selection includes a choice of either barbecue or pasta dinner with homemade lasagna, salads, desserts and special Persian foods. • Brew you: The Nashua River Brewers Festival brings live bands, local food and tons of suds together at the Fitchburg Riverfront Park at 40 Commercial St., Fitchburg. It’s a $10 admission, and $1 per drink. Everyone gets collectible glasses, too. • Shrewsbury Street specials: Tribeca has revamped its menu a bit and is offering summer bistro specials, including chicken Milanese, chicken parmesan, pappardelle Bolognese, seafood cioppino and more. These specials, all offered at $8, are available from Monday-Friday from 5-9 p.m. Tribeca Restaurant is at 92 Shrewsbury St.
