Author Robert Stone at Assumption

Best known as a novelist who penned the National Book Award-winning, Dog Soldiers, Robert Stone makes a rare local appearance to read from his latest work, a memoir titled Prime Green: Remembering the Sixties.

Stone's books have also been nominated for the National Book Critics Circle Award and the Pulitzer Prize. In addition to his many novels, he has also written short stories, essays and screenplays. He is also a regular contributor to The Atlantic Monthly, Harper's, The New Yorker and The New York Times Book Review.

Although he never completed high school, Stone has taught at Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, and Yale and is the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship, plus grants from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Institute of Arts and Letters. Image
