Sex stung By Chet Williamson The Auburn News reported last week on a sex sting that netted six on prostitution charges in Charlton. As part of the sting conducted in conjunction with the Worcester County Drug and Counter Crime Task Force, local police targeted prostitution services posted on craigslist. Those arrested include Isabely Garcia and Robert Walker of Providence; Carmen Andrews of Boston; Jessica Dyer of Vassalboro, Maine; Mary Ellen Rodowicz of Ludlow; and Lorraine Claudio of Dorchester. According to court documents, Andrews allegedly arranged to have sex with police in exchange for money. Posing as "Star," she called detectives, asking if they were also interested in others for sexual services. Before the day was out three other women got involved. Police say Walker was the one making the sex-for-money arrangements. After inadvertently meeting with detectives, the women said that Walker could be found sitting outside in his car. Allegedly, he later told police that, yes, he was taking a portion of the money. Walker appeared in Dudley District Court, where the judge found him guilty of the prostitution charge and ordered him to pay $675 in fines. Some of the women pled not guilty. Others failed to show at their arraignment. o All information taken from published reports, public records and court proceedings.
